CTET Exam


Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET for aspirants who wants to set their career in Teaching field for Central Government Schools. This Exam is all India level Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE. This test is conducted twice in a Year. Candidates are selected on the basis of written Test followed by Personal Interview.

CTET - About the CTET Exam

It is an Indian Entrance Exam for Teachers launched in 2011. The Test is mandatory for getting jobs in all types of schools - Government, private, unaided and aided categories from Class 1 to 8. CTET Exam are conducted at duration of about 6 months ( Feb/ Sept). Those who have cleared the CTET Exam, are eligible for teaching in any of the CBSE Schools. For Teacher already working, they are supposed to clear in 2 years' time

State TET's Exam

  • Conducted by State Governments of India
  • Considered for applying to government-run schools of that particular state board
  • Aspirants can apply for both CTET & STET
  • TET syllabus is in line with the CTET syllabus ( only regional language is included as a subject)

CTET Notification 2018

Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be held in the month of September on 16th and candidates can apply online through the official website. Central Government schools consider the Central Teacher Eligibility Test score as the eligibility criterion for teachers recruitment. CBSE has released the official Notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test for Recruitment of teachers for classes 1st to 8th. Selection for this certificate is purely based on the performance in written exam.

the CTET Exam Notification on its official Website. Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national level Exam which will be conducted by CBSE for accessing aptitude and eligibility of candidates for appointment as a teacher for class 1 to 8 in Central Government School.

CTET Application Form 2018

The  CTET Application Form of Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET) has been released by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Once the online registration starts, the link will be active  to fill the CTET application form by the teaching aspirants.

Steps of CTET Online Application Form Submission
  • Log on to CTET Official website.
  • Click on the link Apply Online.
  • Complete the CTET Online Application Form
  • Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature.
  • Pay examination Fee
  • The candidate should mention their own mobile number and E-Mail id as the CTET alerts will be sent on their registered mobile number and E-Mail id.

CTET Eligibility Criterion

Interested Candidates who want to Apply for CTET Exam must fulfill the Eligibility criterion specified by Central Board of Secondary Education. 

CTET Eligibility Criteria is different for Paper and Paper 2. Aspirants must check the eligibility before filling the CTET Application Form.


CTET Syllabus 

CTET is all India level Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE. This test is conducted twice in a Year. Candidates are selected on the basis of written Test followed by Personal Interview. CTET Exam Pattern

Candidates to qualify the CTET Exam will have to secure 60% and above marks.
CTET exam will consist of two papers paper 1 and paper 2 comprising of Multiple choice questions(MCQ) of 1 mark each for every correct answer, There will be no negative marking in the exam. Paper 1 will be for candidates who wants to be a teacher for class 1st to 5th. Paper 2 will be for candidates who wants to be a teacher for class 6th to 8th.

CTET Admit Card

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is expected to be held in the month of February and candidates can apply online for CTET 2018 through the official website in the first week of January. Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education in the first week of January.
